Best Decision I Made

Without a doubt, I never would have gotten into Wharton without Pamela’s expertise and guidance. I had decided to apply to MBA programs very late ahead of round 2. When I first met with Pamela, I was completely unfamiliar with the process and lacking all pieces of an application. Pamela jumped right into it – giving me a chance and encouraging me to go for it. She is incredibly knowledgeable about each school and knows how to build an application that aligns with the values and objectives of each. She is honest, direct, efficient and incredibly skilled at bringing clarity to the entire process. I left each interaction with Pamela feeling determined and aligned on what my next steps were. Within 1 month she managed to help me build an application that was cohesive, impressive and a true reflection of myself. Working with Pamela was the key to my success in this process. I’m so grateful she took me on as a client so late in the process. I’m thrilled to be attending Wharton this Fall.

Best Investment I've Ever Made

Simply put, I would not have gotten accepted to Booth, Kellogg, CBS, and Yale SOM without Pamela. Pamela helped me take my humble background (non-target undergraduate school, small consulting firm background, and lower than average GRE score) and craft it into a compelling story to tell AdComms. As proven by her near perfect track record, Pamela is extremely knowledgeable in the admissions process of top MBA programs, and she knows how to tailor each application to fit the specific program you’re applying to. She is direct, extremely organized, wicked fast in replying to your questions, and committed to your application journey. Working with Pamela was not only a professional win, but also a personal win. Anyone who gets to work with and know Pamela is very fortunate.

Life Saver

I work a full-time job and had limited time to navigate all the steps involved in the MBA application process. Laura was an incredible resource—she provided clear, detailed guidance on what needed to be done at each stage. She also helped me evaluate the different testing options (EA vs. GMAT vs. GRE), walking me through the pros and cons of each and advising on the one that would best position me for success.

Laura played a key role in helping me identify schools that aligned with my interests and what I was looking for in an MBA experience. Her support with my essays was invaluable—she helped me pinpoint the right stories to highlight and offered multiple rounds of thoughtful, constructive feedback to make them as strong as possible.

Finally, her mock interview prep was instrumental. She made sure I was confident, polished, and ready to clearly articulate my background and why I was interested in each school.

I truly can’t imagine going through this process without her—and I got into my top choice.

I Would Absolutely Recommend To Work With Her For Your Application Needs

I was referred to Pamela by a former coworker. Pamela was incredibly helpful in my MBA application experience. She was able to help me craft my story, and prepare me with what I needed to improve before applying (in my case it was my GMAT score). Working with a lower than average GPA for undergrad, we were able to leverage my GMAT score and unconventional story to grant me admission to Tuck, Fuqua, and Johnson. She was always very responsive and clear in feedback, and open to calls when necessary to speed things along.

Incredible Application Support

Laura was my rock throughout my MBA application process. She helped me not only parse through my thoughts and craft narratives, but was also incredibly responsive to every little question I had along the way. In addition to helping me edit my essays, answer data forms and prep for interviews, Laura was there to calm and reassure me as I faced my application anxieties. I couldn't have done it without her and am so grateful for her support.

Incredible Coach & Amazing Results

Going into the MBA application process, I had some reservations about working with an admissions consultant. Looking back, I don’t regret the decision at all, especially working with Pamela. She has a deep understanding of the application process as well as what each school is looking for in candidates. With Pamela’s expert guidance, I was able to figure out my story and craft compelling essays. What I appreciated most was Pamela’s honesty through the process, as she was not afraid to tell me if an idea was or was not going to work. The MBA application process is not easy and such honesty was needed to ensure that I was turning out the best possible product. Pamela really pushes you to put 110% effort and her attention to detail makes sure that there are no holes in your work. When preparing for interviews, she also provided candid feedback as well as valuable knowledge on what types of questions I should anticipate for the specific schools I was invited to interview with. Ultimately, I was admitted to both Kellogg and Columbia. I definitely would not have been able to get these offers without Pamela’s help. Cannot recommend working with her enough!

Thoughtful & Supportive Coach!

Laura is the best! She gave me invaluable guidance and support during my MBA application process. Laura was not only extremely knowledgeable about the process, but she was also genuinely invested in my success. From our very first consultation, Laura took the time to understand my background, aspirations, and concerns. From polishing my resume, to helping me craft the most effective essays, to prepping for my interview and more, her insights and feedback were invaluable. Throughout the entire process, Laura was reliable, encouraging, and thoughtful. She is extremely easy to work with, and it calmed my nerves knowing that I had Laura in my corner. Laura’s coaching undoubtedly made my application stronger, and ultimately led to an early action acceptance letter – and a scholarship – from my top school. I am so grateful for Laura’s support and I highly recommend her for anyone seeking expert guidance through the MBA admissions process!

Fair & effective

One of the best things about Pamela is her honesty – she's not afraid to tell you where you can improve or if a draft isn't quite cutting it, which is the best use of a client's time and money. She picked up on many elements of my story right away and helped me tie it all together in an expert way. Thrilled to be going to GSB next year.

Could Not Have Done This Without Pamela!!

I fear this review cannot adequately do Pamela justice because she was SO invaluable throughout this process and I literally could not have done this without her. I did “end-to-end advisory,” so Pamela helped me through the exploratory phase (I had no idea why I wanted to go to B school) to actually choosing a school. In particular, I appreciated (in no particular order) (i) the QUALITY of Pamela’s edits – my essays would improve immeasurably every time she gave edits; (ii) Pamela’s organization (she set clear expectations so I always knew where we were in the process and when I’d be getting edits back); (iii) Pamela’s candor – she and I could be 1000% real with one another, which led to better applications, and generally made the process smoother and more enjoyable; and (iv) Pamela’s encyclopedic knowledge of every school, its specific essays, and its AdCom’s preferences – SO helpful.

I had a lot of trouble getting a good test score, and by the time I had a score I could submit it was very late in the game for R2, and Pamela was straight with me about what was possible and not possible. (Don’t be me!!! Prepare your applications early!!!) When it came time to preparing apps, I cannot stress enough how quickly she and I pulled together quality essays. This involved day-of turnarounds (I’m so sorry Pamela…) with both of us unable to see by the end of each day. Throughout this very stressful time, it was such a relief to know Pamela was in my corner. And, her edits were brilliant – she just made essays better! She went ABOVE and BEYOND the call of duty during this time. I really felt like I had someone rooting for me as much as I was rooting for me.

I ultimately got a $140k scholarship to UCLA Anderson, as well as an admission to Stern and waitlist at CBS (like most got R2). I’m taking the money and heading to Los Angeles in August!

Grateful For Laura's Thoughtful Guidance

Laura was incredibly helpful in my MBA application journey. I would recommend her to anyone applying to business school who wants to put their best foot forward.

I decided to apply in late summer. I was shooting for Round 2, without having taken the GRE, after having recently been part of a RIF and coming from a consumer marketing background, without typical consulting or math experience. Laura’s guidance gave me confidence that I was on the right path. She helped me hone my narrative, fine-tuned the details of each element of my application and encouraged me throughout. She was always available and her feedback was timely and thoughtful. Thanks to our work together, I was accepted to three out of the four schools I applied to — NYU Stern, UCLA Anderson and Berkeley Haas. I also received scholarships from both Stern and Haas.

My successful applications are the result of Laura’s coaching, I am proud of our work together.

If You Want To Submit The Best Possible Application, Work With Pam Jaffe

There is no person that I would have rather had on this journey alongside me than Pam Jaffe. If you want someone who is going to write your essays for you and help you do the least amount of work to submit a decent application, then help is best found elsewhere. But if you are willing to devote the hours, if you are ok receiving honest (and extremely helpful feedback), and if you want to submit the best possible application that you can and put your best foot forward at a critical juncture in life, then Pam is the person for you. Working with Pam is not always rainbows and butterflies. Throughout our seven months working together (from crafting my narrative through help with three interviews), Pam challenged me and asked me to go one step further with my story, be one word clearer in my essays, and have one more thing highlighted in rec letters. At times, I spent more mental energy parsing through 400 word essays than I did at my actual job. But when I finally clicked submit on every single school that I applied to, I knew, with certainty, that I submitted the best application I could and that I could not have gotten there without Pam. As an aside, I wrote most of my essays about my sports/entertainment background, and even though Pam didn’t know a huge amount about the industry broadly, she still found a way to help me tell the perfect story (bonus points for anyone who may have a non-traditional background!). Working with Pam is like working with another superstar on an NBA team. Playing styles might not always match, and when things get stressful during a long season, there may be a modicum of friction. But friction makes fire, and eventually you will emerge a champion (CBS ’26 for me!). If you are willing to put in the work and want the best application you can possibly submit, Pam is the person you want in your locker room.
